Ripon, Wis. - Paul VandenBoogaard and Dave Czarnecki teamed up to take the flight 1 crown at the Ripon Doubles Invitational on Saturday. The duo defeated Mike Van Lieshout and Grant Barnard from University of Wisconsin - La Crosse 6-4, 7-6.

In the first round, VandenBoogaard and Czarnecki defeated the doubles team of Trey Senne and Kyle Jagler from Concordia (6-2, 6-1) and in the semifinals Dale Wroblewski and Deke Bradley also of UWL (6-4, 6-3).

In flight 2, Ben Metzler and Ryan Manis defeated John Hildebrandt and Ben Larson of Lake Forest 4-6, 7-6, 10-8 in the first round, but then lost to Mike Frenzel and Shawn Dobbins from UWL 6-3, 6-2.

The Red Hawks will host Lake Forest on Sunday, February 12 at 11 a.m.
