RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon men's soccer team has a lot to prove this season, with more than half their roster different from last season's team that finished 1-15. Tuesday, the 2007 version of the Red Hawks were picked to finish ninth in the Midwest Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

St. Norbert was picked to win the conference, receiving seven of the ten first place votes. Carroll and Grinnell finished the voting tied for second, while Lawrence and defending champ Beloit came in fourth and fifth, respectively. Lake Forest received one first place vote, but finished sixth in the poll. They were followed by Monmouth, Illinois College, Ripon, and Knox.
