OSHKOSH, Wis. - Ripon traveled 20 miles to Oshkosh Wednesday night
for a game under the lights at Titan Stadium. The Red Hawks hung
tough for a half, but six second half goals by the Titans doomed
Ripon, as they would go on to lose 9-0.
UW-Oshkosh got on the board just two minutes into the game on
an Andy Domer goal, which was assisted by Shaun Gallagher. The
two teams played even for the next several minutes, but Oshkosh
got on the board once more in the 30th minute, as Brian Miller
scored his third goal of the season. Alex Lanser added another
goal for the Titans to cap the first half scoring.
Ripon was outshot 31-7 in the contest, as the Red Hawks did not
get a single shot on goal. Roger Gardea led Ripon with four shot
attempts, while Kris Hanson added two and Jared Brown had one.
The Red Hawks will resume conference play this weekend with their
final two games of the season. They'll travel to Illinois College
on Saturday for a 1:30 game, before finishing up at Monmouth on
Sunday.
