RIPON, Wis. - The Red Hawks may finished the 2006 season with a 1-15 record, but that doesn't mean they didn't have players that produced, as they lost eight games by a single goal. Friday, Ripon had three players named to the All-Conference team, as released by the Midwest Conference.
Senior GoalKeeper Dave Freisleben made unbelievable save after unbelievable save this season and was named to the First Team for his efforts. Friesleben started all 16 games for the Red Hawks, while recording 148 saves and earning a shutout in Ripon's lone win of the season. Joining Friesleben on the MWC First Team is senior forward Price Ward, who led the team in points with nine, while also recording a team-high four goals.
In addition to the two first teamers, Ripon had one selection to the Second Team. Midfielder Kris Hanson was selected, after a season in which he finished second on the team in points, with six. Hanson recorded two goals and two assists on the season.
