Scott Gillespie So., Guard

RIPON, Wis. - For the second consecutive season, Ripon guard Scott Gillespie has earned a spot on the MWC All-Conference team. The team, released Tuesday by the Midwest Conference office, tabbed Gillespie as a first teamer, one year after selecting him to the Second Team as a freshman.

Gillespie started all 22 games for the Red Hawks, while playing 35 minutes per game. He led the team in points (18.9 ppg), rebounds (4.4 rpg) and assists (5.8 apg), while ranking second in steals (2.0 spg). The sophomore was the only player in the MWC to rank in the top 15 in points, rebounds and assists, ranking fourth, 15th and third, respectively. Gillespie's 416 total points this season makes him just the eighth player in school history to score over 400 points in more than one season with the school.
