CLERMONT, Fla. – Ripon continued its tough non-conference schedule Tuesday evening in two games that could have gone either way. The Red Hawks began the night with a 5-4 loss to UMass-Boston in a game that saw their late-inning comeback fall just short. Ripon Gets Off To Hot Start On Spring Trip

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Ripon's spring trip to Florida got off to a rocky start over the weekend. Their opening game against Webster was cancelled due to rain and they fell behind 4-0 after two and a half innings against Loras (Iowa) in their first action of the season. After that, the Red Hawk's bats came alive, as they came back to defeat the DuHawks 9-7 marking the first time in four years that they've won their opening game of the season. They followed that up with an 18-8 victory over Clarkson (N.Y.) and a split of a doubleheader with Wheaton (Ill.), losing 9-2, before defeating the Thunder 6-3 in the nightcap. More... |

Red Hawks Begin Spring Trip With 1-2 Record

CLERMONT, Fla. – The Ripon softball team descended upon Florida over the weekend for a nine-game, week-long stretch to kick off the 2010 season. Things didn't go as planned in their first outing of the year, losing 4-0 to SUNY-Geneseo on Sunday. The Red Hawks redeemed themselves on Monday however, with a 3-2, come-from-behind victory against Westfield State (Mass.). Red Hawks Raise Money For Breast Cancer Research

RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon basketball team's February Pink Zone event to raise money and awareness for breast cancer was a success, raising a total of $325. All proceeds will go to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund to benefit cancer research. Ripon To Offer Third Annual Summer Skills Camp

RIPON, Wis. – The Ripon College baseball program will be holding its third annual Summer Skills Camp from June 14-18. The camp will be open to baseball players in grades 3-8 and will run from 9 a.m. to Noon each day. The cost of the camp will be $100 per person, with all proceeds going towards supporting Ripon College baseball. DeHamer And Lind Named To All-Conference Team

RIPON, Wis. - Ripon finished the 2010 season with an 18-7 record, which is the most wins the program has experienced in one year since winning 20 during the 2004-05 season. A big reason for their success was the play of senior Jessica DeHamer and sophomore Erin Lind, who were rewarded for their performances with their selection to the 2010 Midwest Conference First Team, which was released Monday by the conference office. Red Hawks Have Historic Day At MWC Championships

GALESBURG, Ill. - Ripon experienced one of its most successful meets in school history over the weekend at the 2010 Midwest Conference Indoor Championships. The Red Hawk men broke three school records, one of which was an NCAA Provisionally qualifying mark, en route to earning 97 team points, which is the most points ever scored by a Ripon team at the MWC Indoor Meet. The women's team also had an outstanding day, placing in 13 of the 18 events, while the men's team placed in 15 different events. When all was said and done, Ripon had set 46 season-best marks, while 26 entries cracked Ripon's Top 25 All-Time Indoor performance list. More... |

Ripon Comeback Falls Short At MWC Tournament

DePERE, Wis. – Ripon’s season came to an end Friday in the Semi-Final round of the Midwest Conference Tournament, losing to 17th-ranked St. Norbert College, 78-74. The Red Hawks nearly pulled off the upset, rallying from 12 points down in the final 10 and a half minutes to cut the Green Knight lead to two with just seconds remaining. Ripon's Basketball Court Named In Honor of Bob Gillespie

RIPON, Wis. - In a ceremony prior to Saturday's home basketball game against Beloit College, Ripon President David Joyce announced that Ripon's court in Wyman Gymnasium at Storzer Center will be named "Bob Gillespie Court" in honor of current head coach Bob Gillespie, who is the winningest coach in Ripon men's basketball history. Gillespie, who is in his 30th season at the helm of the Red Hawks, has compiled a career record of 482-226, which is the 33rd-most victories ever by a men's basketball coach in Division-III. His career winning percentage of .680 is among the top 40 in the history of Division-III. More... |
