Kraemer Named MWC Special Teams Performer of the Week
October 1, 2007

RIPON, Wis. - The Red Hawks lost Saturday's game 28-26 to Carroll College, handing them their first conference loss of the season, despite a tremendous effort from Joshua Kraemer. Kraemer came up big on both defense and special teams and Monday was recognized with the Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week award, as released by the conference office.

Kraemer became the first player in the MWC this season to return a kickoff for a touchdown when he took a second quarter kick back 84 yards for a touchdown, giving Ripon a 13-7 lead at that time. The junior from Waukesha, Wis. finished the game with five kick returns for 162 yards for an average of 32.4 yards per return, while also returning one punt for 13 yards. On defense, Kraemer recorded an interception, while also making three tackles, including one tackle for loss.
