RIPON, Wis. - Josh Kraemer helped the Red Hawk defense hold Beloit to just nine points in Saturday's 56-9 victory. Monday, he was rewarded with the Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week award. That marks Kraemer's second MWC Performer of the Week award in as many weeks, after winning the special teams award last week.
Against Beloit, Kraemer intercepted two passes, including a second quarter pick that he returned 53 yards for a touchdown, giving Ripon a 35-3 lead just before halftime. The junior defensive back from Waukesha, Wis. also recorded one tackle in the game, while returning one kickoff for 19 yards.
