RIPON, Wis. - Ripon's Jason Smith and Jessica Davey have been named men's and women's cross country Performers of the Week by the Midwest Conference, as released Tuesday from
the conference office. Smith helped Ripon to a second place finish at Saturday's Ripon Invitational, while Davey led the Red Hawks to a first place finish at the event.

Smith ran a team-best time of 26:36 during the 8K course, which was good enough for second overall
among the 65 runners. Davey also finished second overall, among the 44 competitors during the women's competition. She finished the 5K course in 20:28, which helped the Red Hawks capture the team title.
This is Smith's first weekly conference award, while Davey has earned the honor twice in the past.
