RIPON, Wis. - The Ripon men's and women's cross country teams received national recognition this week for their performance in the classroom. Both teams earned a place on the National All-Academic team, as released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCA).

The Ripon College women recorded the third-highest grade point average in the country out of the 390 NCAA Division III schools that have women's cross country, with a team cumulative GPA of 3.75. The Ripon men also received National All-Academic recognition with a team cumulative GPA of 3.14. To receive recognition teams must have a team score at the NCAA regional meet and have a team cumulative GPA of at least 3.10. Jessica Davey was the lone Ripon individual to earn recognition.

To receive this honor, individuals must place in the top 25 percent at the NCAA regional meet and meet the GPA requirement. This is the second year in a row that both the men and the women have received this honor.
