OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Red Hawks took part in the Division-III Regional Championships on Saturday, with both the men's and women's teams finishing in the middle of the pack at the end of the meet. The men's team placed 19th out of 41 teams, while the women finished 25th out of 43 schools.
The Ripon men ended up with 532 total team points, with Jim Hein leading the way. Hein finished 70th out of the 258 runners that completed the race, as he ran an 8K time of 25:43. He was followed by Harrison Smith, who was 77th with a time of 25:54. Bryan Schneider and Jason Smith also finished in the top 150 runners. Schneider was 108th, while Smith came in 126th place.
The women's team scored 713 team points in the event. They were led by Jessica Davey's 6K time of 23:21, which placed her 62nd out of the 266 runners that completed the race. Rebecca Duley wasn't far off that time, finishing nine seconds behind Davey for a 74th place finish. Laura Reuling and Erin Beggs also finished in the top 200 runners. Reuling was 185th with a time of 25:49, while Beggs ran a time of 26:03, for a 187th place finish.
