JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Ripon's season culminated at the Midwest Conference Championships on Saturday. The men's team finished fourth out of the ten conference schools, while the women's team finished seventh. Both teams had a couple runners finish in the top 20 individually.
The men's team was led by Jim Hein, who finished fifth in the race with a time of 26:03.89. He was followed immediately by fellow Red Hawk Harrison Smith, who ran a time of 26:17.67. Bryan Schneider was the third member of the team to finish in the top 20, ending up in 16th place with a time of 26:50.88. The Red Hawks finished with 78 points as a team, which was just five points shy of third place Monmouth College.
The women's team finished the meet with a total team score of 163. They were led by Rebecca Duley's 12th place finish, running a time of 19:59.33. Jessica Davey was also in the top 20, as she finished 17th overall with her time of 20:11.14. Erin Beggs ran the third best time for the Red Hawk women, placing her 35th individually.
The Red Hawks will now take a week off, before competing at the NCAA Regionals in Oshkosh, Wis. That meet will take place on November 10 at 11:00 a.m.
