 RIPON, Wis. - The men's cross country team had a perfect start to the 2007 season, winning the St. Norbert Tom Barry Invitational on Saturday. A big reason for the victory was the running of Jim Hein, who was named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday, as released by the conference office.
Hein finished second overall at St. Norbert, helping the Red Hawks defeat the host Green Knights via a tiebreaker for the meet’s team title. The senior ran a time of 21:02.00 on the four-mile course, which placed him eight seconds behind the individual champion.
