RIPON, Wis. - Jim Hein is coming off the best finish of his career in Saturday's Ripon Invitational, finishing first overall. That performance has earned him this week's Midwest Conference Performer of the Week award, as released Tuesday by the league office.

This is the second MWC Performer of the Week award that Hein has earned this season. In the Ripon Invitational, the Ripon native covered the 8K course in 26:53, besting his closest competitor by 24 seconds and helping the Red Hawks place second as a team. The event featured 60 individual runners and 10 teams.
