The Red Hawks continued their strong running early in the season on Saturday, proving that they can run with the best. The women's team finished third out of 17 teams, while the men finished sixth out of 16 teams.

The women finished with 139 points, which was better than each of the six Midwest Conference schools that ran in the Invitational. Brittany Dick once again led the Red Hawks, finishing fifth in individual competition with a 5K time of 19:31. Dick was followed by Rebecca Duley, who finished 25th with a time of 20:50. Jessica Davey also earned a top 25 finish, finishing 25th with a time of 20:53.

The men also experienced success, receiving 130 points, which was just one shy of fifth place MSOE. Bryan Schneider paced the Red Hawks with a ninth place finish with an 8KÂ time of 26:50. Jim Hein was second on the team with a time of 27:45. Harrison Smith was the only other Red Hawk in the top 25, running a time of 28:05. The Red Hawks will try to continue their great running next week at the Concordia (Ill.) Invitational.
