RIPON, Wis. – The Ripon College baseball team has announced the dates for its 2010 baseball camps, which will be open to players in grades 7-12. The camps will be held on three different weekends, with a hitting camp and the first of two pitcher/catcher camps on Sunday, January 17 going from 9 a.m. to Noon and 1-4 p.m., respectively. The following weekend, January 24, there will be an infield/outfield defense camp from 1-4 p.m., with a hitting camp preceding that from 9 a.m. to Noon. There will be another hitting camp on January 31 from 9 a.m. to Noon, along with a pitcher/catcher camp from 1-4 p.m.
Each camp will be held at J.M. Storzer Center at the intersection of Thorne and Union streets on the campus of Ripon College. It will be directed by Ripon associate baseball coach, Eric Cruise, and will also feature instruction from other Red Hawk coaches and players.
"The Ripon College baseball camp has become one of the best in the Midwest. Many top high school coaches attend the camps and send their players year after year. Developing individual improvement is the goal of every session," said Ripon head baseball coach Bob Gillespie.
The cost of the camps will be $50 per person for each session, $100 per person for all three sessions or $200 per person to attend all six sessions. Each session will be limited to the first 50 people registered, with different information offered at each session.
