The
professors at Ripon pride themselves on the quality teaching and
personal attention they are able to give their students. They take
a personal interest in the academic and emotional well-being of
each student. This extends beyond the classroom to the individual
advising sessions and casual social situations as well.
Transfer students meet with their advisors the second day on campus
during orientation. The initial discussion covers distribution
and graduation requirements. But throughout the student's time at Ripon, advisors keep track of
classes taken to keep students on track for
a timely graduation. Special attention is given to transfer
students to help them choose classes that enhance proven
skills and lead to completion of the major.
Faculty advisors are also great resources for summer internships.
Businesses, corporations and even other colleges and universities
contact our staff while searching to fill internship positions.
Faculty provide this information to students and often
write recommendations on their behalf.
