Pickard Scholarship
($15,000 per year or full tuition)
The Pickard Scholars Program has been sponsored over several decades
by substantial gifts from the Pickard family. It is the most prestigious
scholarship awarded by Ripon College. Starting with S.N. Pickard,
a Ripon Trustee from 1932 to 1973 and, subsequently, two additional
generations of family members, the Pickard Scholars Program was established
to enhance the finest possible education opportunity for deserving
young men and women. The intent also is to identify, motivate and
develop young people to become leaders in bringing about a richer
life and a more just society for themselves and others.
The Pickard Scholarship requires a minimum 3.8 high
school grade point average, rank in top 5% of class, a minimum ACT composite
(30) or SAT V+M (1340), on-campus interviews with faculty, an impromptu essay,
and a thorough review of academic credentials, community service activities
and references.
Renewable: students must maintain enrollment
as a full-time student, a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale
and satisfactory progress toward a four-year degree as published in the Ripon
College catalog.
Knop Scholarship
(one full-tuition scholarship)
The Knop Scholars Program was established through a $2.2 million
bequest from Harry W. Knop Jr., a 1942 graduate of Ripon College,
who discovered an appreciation for the universe and its workings
in physics and mathematics. In addition to recognizing and supporting
students who plan to major in the field of natural science or mathematics,
the Knop Scholars Program supports student and adviser summer research
and students’ off-campus educational opportunities.
The Knop Scholarship requires a minimum high school
grade point average of 3.8, rank in top 5% of class, a letter of recommendation
from high school teacher, and a thorough review of academic credentials and
community service activities. In addition, it requires participation in Scholarship
Day.
Renewable: student must maintain enrollment
as a full-time student majoring in natural science or mathematics, a minimum
grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and satisfactory progress toward
a four-year degree as published in the Ripon College catalog.
Presidential Scholarship
($12,000 per year)
Ripon College’s Presidential Scholarship recognizes a student’s
commitment to academic excellence and service to his or her school and
community. It is one of the most prestigious scholarships awarded
by Ripon College.
The Presidential Scholarship requires a minimum 3.8
high school grade point average, rank in top 5% of class, a minimum ACT composite

Faculty Scholarship
($10,000 per year)
Ripon College’s Faculty Scholarship recognizes a student’s
commitment to academic excellence and service to his or her school and
community. The Faculty Scholarship requires acceptance to the College
followed by a thorough review of the candidate’s academic credentials,
community service activities and references. Scholarship decisions
are made within two weeks of the date of admission. Minimum academic
criteria include a 3.76 high school grade point average (4.0 scale).

Deans' Scholarship
($8,500 per year)
Ripon College’s Dean’s Scholarship recognizes a student’s
commitment to academic excellence and service to his or her school and
community. The Dean’s Scholarship requires acceptance to the
College followed by a thorough review of the candidate’s academic
credentials, community service activities and references. Scholarship
decisions are made within two weeks of the date of admission. Minimum
academic criteria include a 3.51 high school grade point average
(4.0 scale).

Founders' Scholarship
($7,000 per year)
Ripon College’s Founder’s Scholarship recognizes a student’s
commitment to academic excellence and service to his or her school and
community. The Founder’s Scholarship requires acceptance to
the College followed by a thorough review of the candidate’s
academic credentials, community service activities and references.
Scholarship decisions are made within two weeks of the date of admission.
Minimum academic criteria include a 3.36 high school grade point
average (4.0 scale).

Honor Scholarship
($6,000 per year)
Ripon College’s Honor Scholarship recognizes a student’s
commitment to academic excellence and service to his or her school and
community. The Honor Scholarship requires acceptance to the College
followed by a thorough review of the candidate’s academic credentials,
community service activities and references. Scholarship decisions
are made within two weeks of the date of admission. Minimum academic
criteria include a 3.2 high school grade point average (4.0 scale).
