Advising is a very important part of your Ripon experience.Your academic adviser is here to assist you as you select your courses, to help you choose those courses which will fulfill your graduation requirements and at the same time help you achieve your personal academic goals. On Monday, Jan. 14, you will receive an overview of the advising and registration process from Michele Wittler, Registrar and Acting Dean of Admissions. Later in the day, you will meet for a one-on-one meeting with your faculty adviser. These meeting times will be pre-arranged and you will receive the time and location of this meeting during the overview session. The individual meetings will include a review of your high school work, discussion of your interest in particular courses, and majors and minors. At 1 p.m., you will go to the Storzer physical education building for class registration. Registration at Ripon may be a bit different than you are used to if you have attended another institution. We believe the process is exciting and interactive. It is a great chance to meet faculty and staff from all over the college as well as interact with your new classmates! Members of the Orientation Committee and the Registrars Office will be on hand to assist you with any questions or concerns. All students must attend registration the afternoon of Jan. 14 in order to validate their schedules.
