MISSION STATEMENT
Commitment Pride Support Respect Education
The Orientation Committee seeks to further the mission of Ripon College by supporting incoming students in their physical, social, emotional, and academic transition into the Ripon community. The Orientation Committee will develop and implement programming designed to provide incoming students with personal support and a welcoming, safe, and fun educational environment.
In order to accomplish its mission, members of the Orientation Committee must:
- Demonstrate commitment to the educational mission of Ripon College and the mission of the Orientation Committee.
- Role model positive and productive behaviors to new students and each other.
- Provide an honest and unbiased view of Ripon College and its programs.
- Serve as knowledgeable resources for incoming students, their guests and families.
- Be respectful of all incoming students and each other.

- Attend ALL weekly Orientation Committee meetings throughout the spring semester.
- Maintain a positive, respectful and supportive attitude towards all members of the Orientation Committee.
- Actively plan and implement ALL phases of the Fall Orientation activities and events. Fall Orientation is August 23-26 and Orientation Committee members will move back on August 19th.
- Participate in Summer Orientation, if possible. (June 22-27)
- Write letters to new students as assigned during the summer.
- Be a role model for new students at all times, presenting and maintaining a positive, supportive attitude about Ripon College and the college experience.
- Serve as a resource to new students and families, and assist students in their adjustment to college life.
- Refrain from violating any College policies during the entire Summer and Fall Orientation program, drinking, recruiting new students for Greek organizations, or wearing Greek insignia apparel.
