The Mystery

of the Old Mansion

Performed by the Atwood Players

The audience helps Detective Cluehound solve the clues and "choose their own adventure" as the mystery of an old house unfolds before them on the pages of a giant book.

The Atwood Players (Mary and Alan Atwood) have been delighting audiences from "Kids in the Rotunda" at the Madison Civic Center to libraries and elementary schools across the state. Their story plays are geared for audiences from preschool through sixth grade.

Parents:

We welcome you and your child/ren to Ripon College. We have planned carefully for the day and hope that your child will have a wonderful experience that provides reinforcement for the ideas that writing is both important and fun! The children have been placed in grade level groups. Each group is to be lead by one or two college students enrolled in RC’s teacher education program. The child-adult ratio is 8:1 or less. The college students will stay with their group throughout the day.

We urge you to take some time for yourself while your child participates in the activities of the Young Author’s Conference. If you’ve come some distance, please browse the campus or the shops on Watson Street, just one block east of the campus. You may eat lunch in Pickard Commons at the corner of Seward and Elm Streets for a cost of about $5.00 per person. You are also invited to attend the awards ceremony at the end of the day. Please take seats at the back of Great Hall so we can showcase the various children’s groups and the writing projects they have completed.

We hope you and your child have a wonderful day in Ripon.
