Lee says he chose this program specifically because he likes the idea of being able to delve deeper into a city's culture than a normal tourist can, and this program offers that opportunity in more than just one setting. He is looking forward to the process of adapting and learning a new culture so that he might be able to blend in and not seem like just another tourist.

Megan is a junior from West Bend, Wis., whose major is business administration and minor is studio art. She will be participating in the Australearn program studying at the Australian National University in Canberra, Australia. She says that she chose this program because she has wanted to live in Australia all of her life and is looking forward to being part of a different culture there. Also, she will be living in the capital city and she feels that this will give her experience in the political world to be used later, hopefully, in a social rights or environmental career. “I think that studying in another country is the ultimate chance for independence, and living in a larger city will present me with new opportunities and challenges. I honestly have never been more excited for anything in my life," says Megan.
