“Sports in a Democratic Society”

Kent Timm is clinic director at Bay City Sport and Spine in Bay City, Mich. A fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Timm has served on the medical staff for the United States Olympic committee at the 1996 and 2000 summer games in Atlanta and Sydney, respectively, as well as at the 2002 and 2006 winter games in Salt Lake and Torino, respectively.

Timm holds a doctorate in exercise science from Columbia University, a doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Michigan, and master’s degrees in orthopedic physical therapy, sports medicine and athletic training from the University of Pittsburgh.

He graduated from Ripon College in 1981, earning his bachelor’s degree in biology and a self-designed major in pre-sports medicine which became the foundation for the athletic training component of the College’s department of exercise science.
