Welcome to the second floor of the Collaborative Learning Center. Here you will see some of the new additions to the building and some more fun and exciting things we have to offer!

When going upstairs, directly to your right is another computer lab complete with four more computers. Additionally, during hours of high use, there is another mentor up here to better serve the greater number of people. In this lab there is another printer as well as comfortable chairs to be able to do some collaborative work.
All computers are hooked up to Mercury which is the file sharing process made available to all Ripon College students. All you have to do is put a file in your Mercury folder from any computer on campus and you can access it from any of the computers in the CLC!

Also upstairs is a conference room available for many different uses. As previously mentioned, professors often place movies on reserve in the CLC, and the conference room is an ideal location to watch these movies with a large table top to be able to spread out notes and research. It is also available for groups to reserve if they need a place to meet and discuss something for class. The room is also available for mentors, as well as the general student population, to hold study sessions near midterms and finals to make sure that those last key facts are nailed home!
Right next door to the conference room, and across the hall from the upstairs computer lab is a new addition to the CLC as of 2006. This is the public speaking lab. It is designed to be an invaluable resource for anyone who must give an oral presentation or any other sort of public speaking assignment. It is equipped with a laptop that can run a PowerPoint slideshow onto a large pull down screen. Furthermore, it has a camcorder which can record your presentation onto either a VHS or DVD so that you can view it later and improve your skills.
The public speaking lab is also a very comfortable place to watch a movie that has been placed on reserve. The room is set up with a large screen and good sound quality that you and a couple friends from a class can stop by and comfortably watch a movie just the same as you would in your residence hall!
Also on the second floor are a supply cabinet with resume paper, paper clips, and various other assorted office supplies that may come in handy. There is also a bathroom for public use.
However that's not it! There is still one more floor in the Collaborative Learning Center! Click on the stairs to the right and see what's on the third floor!
