Scholarship Information for the
2007 Red Hawk Forensics Institute

The RFI offers three types of scholarships or discounts:

Needs Based:

A student with demonstrated need of financial assistance who has an intense desire to develop his or her skills as a Forensics competitor may apply for a scholarship based on need. Full ride and partial scholarships are available.

Any student wishing to apply needs to fill out the Needs Based Scholarship Application and submit it along with a typed letter of recommendation from a Forensics Coach.

Experience Based:

Limited scholarships are available for students who demonstrate excellence in forensics competition at the high school level. Intermediate and advanced competitors should apply; these scholarships include all costs of the Institute and awarded based on demonstrated merit.

Any student wishing to apply needs to fill out the Experience Based Scholarship Application and submit it along with a typed letter of recommendation from a Forensics Coach and an essay about "What competition means to you." The essay should be double-spaced, written in a legible 12 point font, and should have been between 1000 and 1,500 words.

Quantity Based:

If the same school sends multiple students, each attendee qualifies for a discount. The discounts are as follows:

Five to ten attendees will receive $25 off per student

Ten or more attendees will receive $50 off per student

Coaches must fill out the Quantity Based Discount Application before these discounts can be honored. Registration forms must be received prior to May 15, 2007 for students to qualify.
