Training Leaders for a Promising Future

Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) combines college courses in military science with extracurricular training sessions to develop students to become Army officers. The program focuses on leadership. Enrollment is not limited to students interested in being military officers. Anyone interested in fine-tuning his or her leadership ability is able to participate in the program during the freshman and sophomore years.

The ROTC program is designed to develop leadership, management and social skills. Participating in Army ROTC is an invaluable investment into one's future. For committed Army ROTC students, upon completion of the program and graduation, cadets are commissioned as a second lieutenant (2LT) in the active Army, Army Reserve or Army National Guard. The leadership skills developed through the Ripon College Army ROTC program prepares our graduates for a promising future.

ROTC provides continuous development of leadership, time management and decision-making skills along with programs to refine, polish and fine-tune abilities in public speaking, management, evaluation criteria and behavior and ethics training. You'll need all of these skills to be successful whether you are a student in a community, are involved in civic affairs or serve as a commissioned officer. Army ROTC provides the fundamentals to deal with the problems in any work environment.
