Computer Science Opportunities
Students may participate in a variety of off-campus
programs.
Programs of special interest in mathematics and the sciences include
the chance to study at University of Wales, Swansea, the ACM/GLCA
Oak Ridge Science Semester and the Budapest Semester, which is
sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America. These off-campus
programs allow undergraduates to study and do research at the frontiers
of current knowledge in mathematics and computer science.
The department offers a monthly colloquium that is open to all
students. Programs include films and talks by speakers on a large
range of topics including applications of computer science and
careers in related areas.
