In addition to the formal New Faculty Orientation held prior to the start of classes in August, the "Coffee Chats" provide new faculty members with a variety of information and support throughout their first year at Ripon College. To prevent the "information overload" new faculty sometimes experience at the beginning of the school year, the Coffee Chats are scheduled to provide new faculty members with the information they need when they need it; for example, the College Registrar offers a tutorial on final examination and final grade policies in November, rather than in August! Additionally, the Coffee Chats allow the newest members of the Ripon College community to meet and interact with the staff, administration, and board of trustees.
Unless otherwise noted, all Coffee Chats will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge, East Hall. Light refreshments will be provided.
