My dissertation research was inspired by the successful management of a common-pool resource by Maine lobster fishermen and analyzes the factors that contributed to this success as well as provides analysis of human behavior in an experimental setting created to simulate this industry. An experiment that constitutes part of my dissertation was included in the NSF grant proposal BCS-0821968 “Evolution of Norms and Conservation Rules in Two Fisheries” 2008-2011. As many other after the defense, I am currently working on turning chapters of my dissertation into publishable papers..
