Meet the Dietriches. |
Mom is most important, right? Several years ago Maria retired from 15 years as Administrative Director of the Green Lake Festival of Music. We have enjoyed having her back as a member of the family in the summer. She is currently director of development at historic Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin. She continues to teach piano lessons at home and at Ripon College and plays organ at church. She also works in graphic design, particularly in developing brochures, newsletters and websites. Besides all this, she is a great mom and wife.
Erik is currently (10/09) 25 years old. He graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin as an English major with a music minor. Since graduation, he lived at home and worked for a year, worked another year in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and went to Seattle in August 2008. He is plugging away out West in this beautiful city, fighting the difficult economic times.
Paul is now 22 (10/09). He is now a senior at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin. He is a music major -- a performance major with a jazz emphasis. He is a trumpet player. He has had a great experience at Lawrence playing in bands, orchestra and a variety of jazz groups. He is currently exploring possibilities for graduate school.
And I shouldn't forget Susie, a beautiful, sassy golden retriever who came to live with us as a pup in October 1998. She's now eleven years old, but still feisty and fun.
