About the Business Administration Program

The Business Administration program at Ripon College is truly unique, and I would be pleased to discuss it with you in more detail. There are two "tracked" majors for students to choose from, to allow students to choose a program that will best meet their individual needs.

The General Business Administration major has required courses in mathematics, economics, finance, accounting, management, and marketing. Electives are available in other disciplines including communications, computer science, psychology, and ethics. Students will opt for this track if they are looking for a more traditional Business Administration degree. It is also the best choice for admission to certain MBA programs.

The Individualized Business Administration major at Ripon College is self-designed. That means a student can incorporate any other interest area with the program, and receive credits for those special interest courses. For example, a student interested in the arts might take fine arts or communications courses in order to prepare for management of a museum or arts program. A student interested in sports might include courses in Sports Psychology or Coaching to complete a "Sports Management" emphasis. All of this is just part of why Ripon's business management program stands out.

Students usually prepare their self-design proposals sometime between the end of their sophomore year and the middle of their junior year. For very specific information on the self-design requirements see Business Administration Major Guide.

Students may also minor in business. Click Business Administration Minors for more information on minors.
