Student Practicum

The student practicum provides exercise science majors an opportunity for “hands-on” work with experts in the field to gain valuable job experience. Recent student practicums have included assisting a Ripon College or Ripon High School coach in a particular sport, helping teach a class at the college or high school level, working in the training room at Ripon College or Ripon Medical Center Rehabilitation Department, teaching and supervising at the local health and fitness club, and helping run the college intramural program.

A student may enroll in two practicums, although the field experience for each must be different.

Weight room in Storzer Athletic Center.

"As a physical education major/health minor and a student athlete, the Storzer Center became my home, and my professors and classmates became my family. The program offers a wide variety of interactive classes that have prepared me to become a quality physical education and health teacher."
