Why study art? Where to study art?Why a liberal arts college and not an art academy? That is a decision you may need to make. If you mostly are interested in the technical aspects of art, then consider a specialized institution. However, if you are more interested in formulating and understanding the ideas behind the art, then the intellectual experience of a liberal arts college like Ripon College is for you. What do you do with an Art Degree?Obviously,
not every art major from Ripon College becomes a famous artist,
although our department has, in fact, graduated people who are
successful fine artists and art historians, But there also
are lots of other alternatives to consider. The Caestecker Fine Arts Wing and Demmer Digital Studio: A great facility!Through the generosity of Thomas Caestecker,
Ripon College trustee, the Rodman Center for the Arts received
a welcome addition in the fall of 1992: the Caestecker Fine Arts
Wing. It consists of three studio workspaces, a unique triangular
gallery and two “smart” classrooms
with computer projection and PowerPoint capabilities.
