Gene Kain was born in the former Soviet Union and spent a large part of his life in Europe. He holds an M.F.A. in Ceramics; and a B.F.A. in Design, both from Syracuse University in New York.
His main interests are bronze sculpture, ceramics and drawing. Gene’s art comes directly from personal experience. Some works are symbolic, others are representational. His teaching style is essentially one-on-one. He starts with a demonstration, but then lets students develop their own response.
