Army ROTC scholarships are offered for four, three and two years. The four-year scholarships are awarded based on merit to U.S. citizens who enter college as freshmen. The three- and two-year scholarships are awarded to students currently enrolled at a university or college offering the ROTC program. There also are scholarships solely for personnel currently enlisted in the National Guard or Reserves. Ripon College also offers a scholarship for those expressing interest in ROTC.

How can I apply for a ROTC scholarship?

The period for submitting application forms for a four-year Army ROTC scholarship is from Feb. 1 through Nov. 15. If your completed application is received by July 15, a selection board for an early scholarship will consider you. Winners are announced around Nov. 1. If your application is reviewed after July 15 or if the first board did not select you, you will be considered in a later cycle.
