Welcome to the Ripon College Web site. While visiting Ripon in person is the best way to experience what this private liberal arts and sciences college in Wisconsin has to offer, we hope this site offers a glimpse into what makes this college so special.

Ripon's residential atmosphere and the learning that occurs here - both in and out of the classrooms - makes it a true learning community. Community defines Ripon. Our personal approach to education, student/faculty relationships, small classes, residential nature and liberal arts focus all help set us apart, but none of it works without a town that supports the college and a college that supports the town.

Our mission statement outlines our commitment to a "richly personalized education." At Ripon, that means a degree of faculty and staff interaction above and beyond your expectations. It means designing your own major, or working side-by-side with a professor on a research project. It means getting involved with people who share your interests, or starting your own organization. Above all, it means knowing that you have a high degree of flexibility and choice throughout your college journey with us.

I was first attracted to Ripon because of its strong national academic reputation and its adherence to and constant focus on the relevance of a liberal arts education. I was won over by the people I met here, and I think you will be, too.

Take a look around our site; you'll notice plenty of opportunities to contact faculty, administrators, coaches and staff. Whether you are a prospective student, an alumnus or a parent of a current student, I encourage you to take advantage of those opportunities to communicate with us. These rich pages can be a valuable way to get in touch and stay in touch with Ripon and the many wonderful things that are happening here.

As helpful as this site may be, however, nothing can compare to setting foot on our beautiful and historic campus. Come sit in on a class, experience a play, enjoy a recital or thrill to an athletic competition. Our door is open. We welcome you.
