 RIPON, Wis. - Defensive Back Joshua Kraemer was a huge spark on special teams for the Red Hawks in Saturday’s 45-20 win over Illinois College. Monday, he was selected as the Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week, as released by the conference office.
With Ripon leading 10-6 mid-way through the second quarter against the Blueboys, the senior defensive back fielded a punt and returned it 70 yards for a score, giving the Red Hawks some much-needed momentum, as they went on to score 24 points in that quarter. Kraemer returned two punts on the day for 68 yards (34.0 avg.), while also returning four kickoffs for 106 yards (26.5 avg.), which included a long of 48 yards.
