Red Hawk Athletic Facilities

Storzer CenterJ.M. Storzer Center (Basketball, Volleyball, and Swimming)

     Built in 1963, Wyman Gymnasium in J.M. Storzer Center houses Ripon men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball. The Red Hawk nation can be seen cheering their teams on in this 1,000 seat gymnasium that has seen a total of 17 conference championships.

     J.M. Storzer Center is also home to the Red Hawk's swimming pool, where the men's and women's swim teams compete. The pool features an NCAA regulation six-lane, 25 yard lane facility. It is equipped with one three-meter board and one one-meter board.

     Directions to Storzer Center:

     From: Green Bay Take Hwy 41 south to Oshkosh. Exit Hwy 44 (South Park Rd.) and turn right (west). Follow 44 west 18 miles into Ripon. Continue on 44, now Oshkosh Ave., for approx. two miles to stoplight at intersection with Hwy 23. Continue straight through stoplight, (Oshkosh Ave. has now turned into Union St.) for six blocks. Storzer parking lot is on right hand side.
Approx. Travel Time: 1 hr. 15 min.

     From: Madison Take Hwy 151 north towards Fond du Lac. Exit CTH MMM north to Waupun. Continue three miles into Waupun on MMM to first stop sign at intersection with Hwy 49. Turn left or west on 49, and Ripon is 18 miles. Take first left in Ripon on Griswold St. Go two blocks to stop sign and turn right on Watson St. Go three blocks Down Watson St. and turn left on Thorne St. Continue on Thorne until intersection with Union. Storzer can be seen across Union St.
Approx. Travel Time: 1 hr. 15 minutes

     From: Milwaukee/Chicago Take Hwy 41 north to Fond du Lac. Exit Hwy 23 (Johnson St.) and turn left (west). Follow 23 for 18 miles into Ripon. Continue on 23, now Fond du Lac Ave., for approx. one mile to the first stop sign. Left on Blackburn St. which curves right after 40 yards and turns into Thorne St. Take Thorne St. one mile, until it runs into Union. Storzer can be seen across Union St.
Approx. Travel Time: 1 hr. 40 min / 3 hours

     From: Minneapolis/St. Paul Take Int 94 to Int 90/94. Continue on Int 90./94 to Hwy 82 in Mauston. Exit east or left on 82 and continue 20 miles to Int 51 where 82 ends and Hwy 23 begins. Continue on 23 east for 35 miles to Ripon. Stay on 23 for one mile in Ripon to second stop light. Turn right on Union St and proceed six blocks to Storzer on right hand side.
Approx. Travel Time: 4 hr. 20 min.

Ingalls Field (Football, and Men's and Women's Track and Field)

Ingalls Field    Ingalls Field is home to the Red Hawk football and track and field teams. The field, which was built in 1888, has a capacity of 3,500. It has seen many successful football teams and many memorable games, while also hosting the Midwest Conference track meet several times.

    

    Directions to Ingalls Field:

     From: Green Bay Take Hwy 41 south to Oshkosh. Exit Hwy 44 (South Park Rd.) and turn right (west). Follow 44 west 18 miles into Ripon. Take first left in Ripon limits on Douglas St. and continue _ mile to first stop sign. Turn right on Fond du Lac Ave. at stop sign and travel _ mile to Ingalls Field on left side.
Approx. Travel Time: 1 hr. 15 min.

     From: Minneapolis/St. Paul Take Int 94 to Int 90/94. Continue on 90/94 to Hwy 82 in Mauston. Exit east or left on 82 and continue 20 miles to Int 51 where 82 ends and Hwy 23 begins. Continue on 23 east for 35 miles to Ripon. Stay on 23 through Ripon to the east side of town. Ingalls Field is on the right, two blocks after Hwy joins Fond du Lac Ave.
Approx. Travel Time: 4 hr. 20 min.

Francis FieldFrancis Field (Baseball)

     Francis Field is home to the Red Hawk baseball team, which has won 16 conference championships, including an amazing championship run in which they won the conference title in seven out of nine years from 1998-2006. The field was newly renovated in October of 2006, which included a new concession stand, new pressbox, brand new fencing around the field, and additional seating. The capacity at Francis Field is now approximately 350, with extra space to sit around the fence.

     Francis Field is located to the South of Storzer Center. Parking is available in the parking lots in front and to the west of Storzer. The field can be accessed by walking around or through the building.

Tracy FieldTracy Field (Softball)

     Tracy Field is the friendly confines of the Ripon College softball team. There is plenty of seating available behind home plate, as well as around the fence. Tracy Field also saw some renovations in the Fall of 2006, with new fencing and landscaping, along with additional seating.

     Tracy Field is located to the South of Storzer Center. Parking is available in the parking lots in front and to the west of Storzer. The field can be accessed by walking around or through the building.

 

 

Prairie FieldPrairie Field (Men's and Women's Soccer)

     Prairie Field is the venue for Ripon College men's and women's soccer games. Prairie Field also received some renovations in 2006, getting a new sound system and press box.

     Prairie Field is located to the South of Storzer Center, past Tracy Field, and on the other side of the football practice field. Parking is available in the parking lots in front and to the west of Storzer, as well as on the hill overlooking the field on Union Street.

 

 

Larson CourtsLarson Courts (Men's and Women's Tennis)

     Larson Courts are home to the Red Hawk men's and women's tennis teams. Dedicated in 1996, the courts are named for the all-time winningest tennis coach in school history, the legendary Chuck Larson.

     Larson Courts are located directly behind Storzer Center. There is plenty of parking available in the Storzer Center parking lots.
