Ripon Summer Players to hold theatre auditions April 18 and 20

Take one rural Russian town, add a greedy mayor, a corrupt group of officials, and one charming con man, and you have the ingredients for a classic comic romp.

Open auditions and crew call for the Ripon Summer Players’ performance of “The Government Inspector” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 20 in the Benstead Theatre, C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts. There are 17 roles for men and women in this delightful comedy.

An updated adaptation of the play, one of the world’s great farces, will be presented June 2-4, 2017. Ripon Summer Players is a joint project of the Ripon Noon Kiwanis and the Ripon College Department of Theatre, and was founded to provide quality live theatre for the community.
